“일하다”

Within the deep urban jungle of Seoul lie the neighborhoods of 을지로3가 (Euljiro-Sam Ga) and 동대문 (Dongdaemun), where thousands of small, family-owned workshops have resided for decades, becoming the printing and electronic powerhouse of Seoul. However, as these neighborhoods become increasingly gentrified and more workshops close, their rich cultures and communities are beginning to fade. “일하다” aims to document my time within these historic neighborhoods and showcase some of the workshops and artisans I encountered.
